TOTAL ELITE SPOTLIGHT "NAOMI FOSTER"

Updated: Aug 12, 2020

Q&A with Naomi a TOTAL ELITE Woman

Whether it is our models, ambassadors, or even customers we appreciate the women that support Total Elite Athletics. One of our models, Naomi, was kind enough to do a short Q&A with us! She shares what makes her feel empowered, what motivates her, and what she loves about Total Elite Athletics. We hope that Naomi, like many of our Total Elite women, can inspire you in your fitness journey. Q: Tell us a little bit about yourself. A: I’m a mix of a lot of things: ethnicity, life experiences, perspectives, interests etc. A bit of a hippie, but a woman who enjoys life all the same. I was born in the U.S., but grew up overseas, which afforded me a unique perspective on people and the world.

Q: What types of workouts do you engage in?

A: I like running through a good circuit with girlfriends. I also enjoy training with heavy weights.

Q: What is your favorite thing about fitness?

A: Two things: (1) getting to that next bench mark in weight training and (2) the feeling you have when your workout is all done. It’s hard to get going, but once you’re in a workout- you mostly just feel the burn. But when it’s all said and done, and you’re drinking your last chug of water or hitting the stop button on the treadmill, that “I did it” feeling is what I love most.

Q: What is your favorite Total Elite Athletics item? Why?

A: leggings. By far my favorite. A girl can never have too many pairs.. and they can never be too comfortable. It’s a win-win the whole way.

Q: How do you cope with stress? A: With food, family and laughs. Oh.. and wine. Q: What makes you feel most empowered? A: Breaking down people's expectations of me; especially for those who underestimate me. I feel most empowered when I push myself past the limits that they (or society) have tried to establish for me.

Q: What keeps you motivated?

A: Wine. Hahahahah! and my daughter.

Q: What is your advice to anyone who wants to start their fitness journey? A: It sounds cliche but.. I would tell them to “just start it”. Don’t worry about where the path leads (yet) nor how long the journey will be. Just start going and go all the way.
