6 REASONS YOU GAINED WEIGHT (NOT FAT)
-
Here are 6 common reasons the scale will go up that have literally nothing to do with fat gain.
-
️You Ate Later Than Usual: so you have more food in your stomach when you weigh in the next morning which, literally, makes you weigh more. It's not fat - just stomach content.
-
️You Weighed Yourself Earlier Than Usual: which also means you had less time to digest the food you ate yesterday night so, again, you weigh more simply because of more food in your stomach.
-
You Lifted Weights Yesterday: and when your muscles are repairing they "soak up" water and a whole bunch of nutrients to recover so they basically act like a sponge. And, as you know, a soaked sponge weighs much more than a dry one.
-
You're Stressed Out: and when you're stressed your body often holds onto water weight which can make you bloated and heavier. One reason why women often gain weight (not fat) on their period.
-
You Ate A Bunch of Carbs And/Or Salty Foods: so your body soaks up water and holds onto it so, again, you weigh more than usual.
-
You Need to Take a Big Ol Dump: which is more common than most people think. Sometimes you're all backed up and you really just need to pass a bowel movement to clear yourself out. Apples work incredibly well, btw.
